PURPOSE:To perform sealing of a high level repeatedly by utilizing the plastic deformation of a metal seal material due to opposing slant surfaces of an inner cutter-type lug and an outer cutter-type lug. CONSTITUTION:An endless-like groove 2 is bored on the surface of a valve body 1 in contact with the inner surface of a main body 5 so as to hold a soft metal seal material such as lead. An endless-like inner cutter-type lug 3 comprised of a nearly vertical inner periphery and an inclined outer periphery, and an endless- like outer cutter-type lug 4 comprised of a nearly vertical outer periphery and an inclined inner periphery are formed on the main body 5. When the valve body 1 at the position of a chain line is moved to the left, the endless-like groove 2 of the valve body 1 is coupled with the inner cutter-type lug 3, and the metal seal material in the groove 2 is changed from the outer cutter-type to the inner cutter-type, thereby a fixing phenomenon due to plastic deformation is generated. |
