The invention relates to the capturing of animals by means of a system operating with a non-tensioned spring, contrary to the known devices. Inside a frame 1, two jaws 2-3, which are plane, synchronised and held opposite each other in a horizontal plane by a non-tensioned spring 10, open as soon as a slight pressure is applied on one of them, and make a backward movement impossible. This system makes accidents impossible and allows the captured animals to be released unharmed. The subject of the invention can be used for various purposes, in all cases where it is dangerous, both for people and for protected animal species, to use conventional means. <IMAGE>
