PURPOSE:To reduce cost of terminal equipment and whole system, by providing a memory for still picture in the subcenter. CONSTITUTION:When video signals for one frame are sent from a CATV center 100 to a subcenter 500, they are supplied to memories 501-516. Modulators 531-546 converts video signals coming from memories 501-516 to video signals of specified TV channel and sends out to a terminal equipment 200. When a terminal equipment 102 requests a still picture, the data are supplied from the equipment 102 to a controller 551. The controller 551 finds out vacant ones out of memories 501-516, and allots to the equipment 102. By this constitution, individual terminal equipment does not require a memory for a still picture, and accordingly, the cost of terminal equipment can be reduced. |
