The protective sheath is for the transport of sailboards and their accessories. It is of shock-absorbent material, closed on all sides (2) and shaped to accommodate the sailboard. The material can be heat-insulating, comprising a layer of foam material (7) between two plastics ones (5,6). The dimensions are such as to accommodate other accessories (10-14) in addition to the sailboard itself (9). A closure can be provided for opening the rear end (4), where the stern of the sailboard is situated, complete with a padlock.
