摘要 PURPOSE:To provide an electrically conductive white material having an excellent reinforcing effect on plastics, etc., consisting mainly of fibrous potassium titanate whose surface is covered with stannic oxide. CONSTITUTION:An electrically conductive white material consists mainly of fibrous potassium titanate whose surface is covered with stannic oxide. Potassium titanate of the formula K2O.nTiO2.mH2O (wherein n<=8; m<=) is used. Among them, potassium titanate of the formula K2O.6TiO2.mH2O and its hydrate are particularly preferred because they have excellent resistance to fire and heat and mechanical properties and further give excellent surface smoothness when used as a filler. Potassium titanate is generally powder or fibrous microcrystal, and those having a fiber length of 5mum or longer and an aspect ratio of 20 or above, particularly 100 or above, are suitable for use as a reinforcing filler. When a trace amount of antimony or indium is purposely added during the formation of stannic oxide layer, the electrical conductivity can be improved.
