PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of a transmission facsimile device, by putting marks indicating areas from which data are read out and recorded on an original and decoding respective marks on the transmitting and receiving sides to determine the reading and recording areas. CONSTITUTION:A code entering part 7 for the indication of areas is prepared on a band-like part of about 1cm from the leading end part of an original 6 to be used for the facsimile device and a code 9 indicating a reading start position 8 and a code 12 indicating a reading end position 11 are entered on the left and right halves 7A, 7B respectively. A scanner 15 is arranged on the subscanning direction of the transmitting side facsimile device to read out and transmit the picture information of the original 6 and a mark sensor reader 19 arranged close to the scanner 15 reads out and decodes the codes 9, 12 of the original 6 to determine a reading area. On the other hand, a needle electrode 61 is arranged in the subscanning direction of recording paper 59 on the receiving side and a mark sensor reader 63 close to the needle electrode 61 reads out and decodes the marks 9, 12 to determine the recording area, so that the transmission efficiency of the transmission facsimile device is improved. |
