In a compressed air solar generator of the sort including an orientable compressed air generator 30 in which air is compressed in a compressor, receives heat energy from a heater with an infrared radiation containment cavity in which the cavity is placed at the focal point of a concentration system 20, and then is partly expanded in a turbine which is rotationally integral with the compressor and with the heater, the compressor-heater-turbine assembly forming a gyroscope, at least one aerodynamically profiled element forming a control surface 60, 61, connected to the generator, is arranged in the exhaust flow from the turbine, where it is subjected to a transverse load as a function of the said incident which, by gyroscopic effect, leads to a rotation of the generator about an axis perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the heater and the axis of articulation of the control surface.
