PURPOSE:To prevent squeaking of a brake by excavating circumferential grooves in the sliding surface of drum with the lining. CONSTITUTION:When a shoe 1 is expanded by a cylinder at the time of braking, the lining 2 is put in pressure contact with the interval circumferential surface of the drum 3. At this time, part 2a of the lining 2 tends to make engagement with grooves 5 excavated in the drum 3 in its width direction. Thus vibration of the shoe 1 in its width direction is prevented, and resonanse of drum 3, back plate 4, etc. will binder the brake from squeaking. |
