The arrangement processes engine operating parameters in a signal processing and control circuit with an associated visual display. It is suitable for mounting inside the vehicle and is an improvement on similar equipment. A zone (0) in the display field reference zone (R) correspond to optimum efficiency engine operation. It consists of two zones (01,02). The first constituent zone (01) corresponds to engine revolution rates between two predefined values (no,n1) and to induction pressure between predefined values. The second zone (02) corresp. to induction pressure greater than the higher of the two predefined values and to revolution rates between the first predefined value (no) and a value (n2) lying between the first two values (no,n1).
