PURPOSE:To protect the steering shaft and coupling means from open air with high sealing performance, by blocking the steering shaft and coupling means to be arranged at the outside of car from open air by means of a tubular resilient sealing member. CONSTITUTION:One end of a tubular resilient sealing member 18 is secured between a dash panel 1 and a column bracket 2a of a column tube 2 through a bolt 19. The other end is secured under pressure engaged state to the cover cap 20 of a power steering gear 4a. A lip projection 18a formed on said member 18 is engaged with a groove 20a formed in said cap 20 while the flange section 21a of the plate member 21 arranged at the rear of said projection 18a is secured to the end face of the power steering gear 4a through a bolt 22. Since an open air blocking space (S) is formed, a sealing member for the open air is not required but requiring only one sealing part. |
