PURPOSE:To reduce an injury to a walker upon a trafic accident, by providing a resilient member against which a hood abuts, to an arm attached to a vehicle body pivotably in the longitudinal direction thereof, and as well by providing a resistance member for absorbing energy upon rotation of the above-mentioned arm in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body. CONSTITUTION:A resilient member 14 is rotatably journalled to the free end of an arm 13 which is, in turn, rotatably journalled to a bracket 17 fixed to a vehicle body. The above-mentioned arm 13 is inhibited from forwardly tilting beyond a predetermined tilting position by a stopper 17a, and further, is biased toward the stopper 17a by means of a spring 18. Further, an easily deforming part 13b is projectingly formed in the side part of the arm 13. The easily deforming part 13 is deformed by being made presssingly contact to the fold- back part 17d of the bracket 17 when the arm 13 is tilted rearward by the load which is applied by a walker upon a coolision who is got on the upper surface of a hood, thereby impact energy upon the collision is absorbed. |
