PURPOSE:To improve the cooling effect of a bearing, by injecting low temperature oil between thrust pads from the internal peripheral part toward the outside through an external pump and extruding high temperature oil in a guide passage. CONSTITUTION:An oil film is formed on an upper surface of each thrust pad 5, and lubricating oil heated to a high temperature after circulating in the peripheral direction flows out from a rear end of the pad 5 to form a boundary layer along the bottom surface of a thrust runner 3. This high temperature oil is scraped off by an oil scraper plate 12 in a guide oil passage 30 and applied with a large speed component by a flow of low temperature oil injected as shown by an arrow head Q in the drawing to a peripheral side in the radial direction from a supply pipe 23 by an external pump 22 and rotation of the thrust runner 3, and the oil is extruded from the guide oil passage 30 and circulated to the upper of an oil cooler 14. As a result, lubricating oil at low temperature is drawn to an upper surface of the next thrust pad 5 for the rotary direction, and temperature of a bearing is decreased. |
