<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate combination with other devices and to realize balancing as well as size reduction of the entire structure by a construction wherein the interior of an ignition coil is arranged to allow a desired inserting member to penetrate therethrough. CONSTITUTION:Primary and secondary coils are wound with proper insulation and then coated with a forming material to constitute a coil section 11, round which is wound a core 21 to form a magnetic path common to both primary and secondary coils, and which has an insertion hole 21a bored allowing an inserting member such as a rotary shaft to penetrate therethrough. Terminals 31, 41 and a high voltage terminal 51 are integral with the coil section 11 through the forming material. Changes in magnetic flux incident to intermittent energization of the primary coil induces high voltage in the secondary coil via the core 21. The ignition coil thus arranged has a function of allowing an inserting member such as a rotary shaft to penetrate through the interior of the coils in addition to its own specific function as an ignition.</p> |
