The invention relates to a cutter chain for a stone-cutting machine in which the cutting tools are fastened to the allocated bit holders without a screwed connection. Each cutting tool, which consists of a cutting tip and a shank arranged concentrically to it, is inserted with the shank into an opening in a positive-locking manner and is secured by a closing body running transversely thereto, for example in the form of a tapered pin, which engages in a groove inside the shank. The cutting forces are absorbed by the positive-locking connection between the shank and the opening, while the closing body essentially ensures the cohesion of this positive locking.
