According to Fig. 2, the device (1), which is to be operated in daylight, is equipped with treatment containers (2), which contain treatment liquids (45) and which are assigned in each case a spindle (13) which is mounted rotatably in notches or slots (12). Strung on the spindle (13) are a plurality of light-proof cassettes (14) in which the film discs to be developed have been previously inserted. These cassettes (14) each have in this case a light-proof annular slot through which when the cassettes (14) are immersed in the treatment liquid (45) the latter penetrates into the cassettes (14) and comes into contact with the material to be developed. The spindle (13), and thus also the cassettes (14) situated between a mating bearing (15) and a wing nut (17), are set rotating by means of a drive device and associated gear wheels (20 and 21) so that the material to be developed which is situated in the cassettes (14) has the treatment liquid (45) applied to it uniformly. <IMAGE>
