PURPOSE:To produce safe collagen powder, by immersing skined pigskin from which attached fatty acids are removed in warm water at 50-70 deg.C for 1-3min, mechanically removing big hair and thinly cut the pigskin into <=5mm. CONSTITUTION:A fat layer attached to skined pigskin is mechanically removed, the pigskin is immersed in warm water at 50-70 deg.C for 1-3min, pig hair is mechanically removed and further the pigskin is thinly cut into <=5mm. Then, 1 thinly cut pigskin is blended with >=2 warm water at >=30 deg.C and stirred for >=15min to separate fats. The defatted pigskin is mechanically dehydrated, heated at lowest 50-120 deg.C by stages and dried until water content becomes <=9wt%. The dried pigskin is cooled to <=40 deg.C and ground by a grinder into 10-100 meshes to give collagen powder.
