The invention relates to a device for recovering heat from polluted waste water. It is known to extract heat from the waste water by means of a heat exchanger and to heat up the fresh water therewith. The waste water has to be filtered before entering the heat exchanger. Cleaning the filter by back-flushing (backwashing) requires the waste water feed, and thus the heating up of the fresh water to be interrupted. This can be troublesome in the operation of swimming pools or shower installations. The invention proposes subdividing the filter into two filter parts of which one is connected upstream of the primary part of the heat exchanger and the other is connected downstream thereof. It is also proposed that the filter parts can be switched over in such a way that in each case the filter part connected upstream of the heat exchanger is flowed through in a direction corresponding to the filter operation, and the filter part connected downstream of the heat exchanger is flowed through in a direction corresponding to a flushing operation. During the operation of one filter part, the respective other filter part is flushed, with the result that the switching over can be performed even during operation. <IMAGE> |
