A hidden attachment of the end of a length of beading to a profiled strip is proposed. The beading is connected to the profiled strip by a spring bracket being connected to the end cap, which spring bracket has a bent part which points towards the underneath of the end cap, is resiliently seated there and has at least one tip, it being possible to push the beading into the insertion opening between the underneath of the end cap and the part of the spring bracket. The spring bracket locks the beading against sliding back in the direction opposite to the insertion direction, and the clawing attachment of the beading to the profiled strip and to the end cap holds the beading firmly even when it contracts as a result of temperature reductions.
