PURPOSE:To uniformly cool each winding section with an insulating medium flowing through cooling passages by a construction wherein radial widths of inner and outer axial cooling passages between the adjacent spacers is set to be gradually increased from both spacer sides to the center part therebetween. CONSTITUTION:An outer insulating tube 12 is shaped into the form of a polygon having a corner 12a at each center between adjacent spacers 4, 4, while an inner insulating tube 11 is shaped into the form of a polygon having a corner 12a at the mounting part of each duct rail 8. Radial widths w11, w12 of inner and outer axial cooling passages 16, 17 are set to be gradually increased toward the centers, and the cooling passage 17 has the width larger than that of the cooling passage 16 to render smaller flow resistance. When the transformer oil is made to flow into the transformer winding provided with the cooling passages 16, 17 thus structured so as to cool each winding section 3, temperature distribution is uniformed in the winding section 3 and also the maximum temperature is lowered. |
