PURPOSE:To obtain a core whose magnetic head characteristic is stable, by using a core obtained by forming simultaneously a chin part and a gap part outside face. CONSTITUTION:A long magnetic core material 12 is made of, for instance, fer- rite, etc., and a tapered part 13 is worked before ship-shape working. The long magnetic core material 12 is positioned fixedly on the reference surface of a ship-shape working machine by making a rear face 14 and a bottom face 15 the reference, and thereafter, it is worked to a ship-shape by use of a formed grind stone, on the upper face 12a for executing the ship-shape working. In this regard, according to this method, a chin part 16 and a gap part outside face 18 are worked simultaneously by the grind stone. |
