To permit the construction of presentation walls, exhibition stands and similar structures in a multiplicity of embodiments capable of modification per se and in the process to be able to preserve a style which is in keeping both with the products of a manufacturer and the character of a company, a cross-sectionally U-shaped wall element is proposed, the U-legs of which can be fastened between upright supports. This three-dimensional shape of the wall element permits a plastic shaping of presentation surfaces on structures of the abovementioned type, in which the connecting web, connecting the U-legs together, of such wall elements can be directed outwards or inwards and hence either raised or recessed, or spatially graduated, presentation-surface parts can be created. An appearance which is visually attractive and very effective for advertising can thus be obtained with the aid of such wall elements irrespective of their mutual assignment.
