PURPOSE:To restart service automatically and smoothly, by detecting an abnormal state such as a power failure occurring to a terminal device and reporting that to a broadcasting center, and allowing a center controller to receive the report and reporting a state before the power failure, etc., to the terminal device. CONSTITUTION:A terminal 500 detects a CPU incorporated in a terminal controller 510 executing an initial routine which is stored in a nonvolatile memory incorporated in the terminal device 510 in case of a power failure and executed only when the CPU of the terminal controller 510 is powerd on. If the destruction of the contents of the nonvolatile memory or malfunction due to a noise occurs, that is detected from a change of a redundant bit provided for detecting the generation of a data pattern which is never detected in normal operation or abnormality, reporting the abnormality to the center controller 110. The center controller 110 receives this report to rereport a channel number, charged channel section, etc., to the terminal controller 510 by a charged channel report command and also reports accounting information which is reported from the terminal 500 and stored. Consequently, the contents of the memory of the terminal controller 510 are restored to the state before the abnormality occurrence completely and the service is restarted automatically and smoothly. |
