PURPOSE:To obtain a titled magnetic head which has an excellent recording and reproducing characteristic and can be manufactured easily, by constituting a medium opposed face part except a metallic magnetic material film exposed part on a magnetic recording medium opposed face of a magnetic head, of a non- magnetic material which contacts with both sides of a metallic magnetic material film. CONSTITUTION:Metallic magnetic material films 10, 10' having a high saturation magnetic flux density, whose thickness forms a track width part of track width tw are constituted of a spattering film, etc. of sendust or an amorphous magnetic alloy. Also, the other end part against the end part of the butt part of a pair of left and right magnetic material films extends to the end part of core width l. Also, the magnetic material films 10, 10' reach at least the gap depth from the recording medium opposed face, and are connected to high magnetic permeability ferrite 12, 12' for forming a main body part of a core so as to be continued magnetically. Also, non-magnetic materials 13, 14 such as glass, resin, etc. are provided in order to protect the side of the magnetic material films 10, 10' and also to secure abrasion resisting strength of the recording medium opposed face of the magnetic head. |
