PURPOSE:To prevent percolation upon running at a low speed by a method wherein the temperature of fuel is reduced directly by utilizing heat absorbing effect generated upon evaporating the fuel. CONSTITUTION:A front grille, in front of the engine room of a car body side, is provided with an air intake port 16 while the air intake port 16 is communicated with the upper part of an oil level in a float chamber 3 through a suction path 18 equipped with a vacuum operating type opening and closing valve 17. A vacuum chamber 17a is communicated with a suction pipe 2 through a three- way switching valve 21 while the valve 21 is connected to a temperature switch 23. When the car is running at a low speed and the percolation is readily generated, the opening and closing valve 17 is opened and air passes through the air intake port 16, the float chamber and an air vent pipe 13. According to this operation, the evaporation of the fuel at the surface of the fuel in the float chamber 3 is promoted and the temperature of the fuel may be reduced. |
