PURPOSE:To control the width of spark advance most suitably by a method wherein the charge initiating voltage of one of capacitors is changed in accordance with the operating condition of an engine, in the device, in which ignition timing is controlled by comparing the charging voltages of two capacitors. CONSTITUTION:The charging waveform X of the first capacitor begins the charging thereof from the angular position A of the first crank and stops it at the angular position B of the second crank. The charging waveform Y of the second capacitor begins the charging thereof at the angular position B of the second crank from the voltage Vu in accordance with the operating condition of the engine. The waveform X begins the discharging from the anugular position D where both waveforms X, Y coincide and outputs an ignition signal when the voltage arrives at a predetermined voltage VP1. Thus, the width of the spark advance may be controlled in accordance with the operating condition of the engine. |
