In order to produce the model tree or shrub, multi-cord metal wires (branch wires) are fixed to the base at a distance from each other and bundles of bristles are inserted in spaces between them. By twisting the individual wires, the bristles are secured in the spaces between the twists. Thereafter, the bristles are provided with a coating of adhesive and sprinkling material is sprinkled on the adhesive. The trunk of the model tree or shrub can consist of a twisted metal wire which is received in a cylindrical socket, or of a natural wood trunk.
