PURPOSE:To prevent running failure and damages of a transport material in case of clamping and transporting the transport material with a pair of belts by regulating the lateral position of the transport material by rollers rotated in frictional engagement with the belts. CONSTITUTION:A sheet material 1 such as a photographic film or the like is clamped and transported by a pair of belts 2, 3 respectively stretched between driving rollers 4, 5 also serving as pulleys and pulleys 6, 7. In this case, position regulating rollers 8, 9 are disposed in such a manner as to bring shaft portions 10, 11 into contact with respective belts 2, 3, so that the rollers are rotated with the running of the belts 2, 3. The rollers 8, 9 are set in such a manner that the interval between flanges 13, 15 mounted on both ends of the shaft portions 10, 11 is a little larger than the width of the sheet material 1. In this arrangement, in transporting the sheet material 1 having low rigidity at high speed, the lateral position perpendicular to the transport direction of the sheet material is properly regulated, and damages of the sheet end surface and generation of paper dust can be prevented. |
