Along the roof ridge is a conventional copper wire fitted on distance holders. A second copper wire is positioned at right-angles to the first, running down the sides of the roof to the earthing point. A spike, pointed at its top, is vertically fitted and electrically connected to the copper wires. At the point where it is connected directly to the roof, the spike is located approx. 30 cms above the roof ridge, and is connected to the wires via bent connecting conduits. - These connecting conduits have four sides, and can be rigid wires or other completely copper bars welded to the spike. They are firmly welded whilst they are straight, and then are bent into position on the roof, their ends being clamped firmly against the wires so that a suitable mechanical stability is achieved.
