PAPER TENSION ADJUSTING METHOD IMMEDIATELY BEFORE REEL

PURPOSE:To provide stable tension continuously by detecting change of paper tension through a dancer roll provided between a machine calender and reel in an onmachine coater. CONSTITUTION:In an onmachine coater where a machine and a coater are coupled, a dancer roll 1 provided between the machine calender and reel (not shown) is supported movablely to the left and right by a link mechanism comprising three arms 2-4. The arm 4 is coupled with an air cylinder 5 for providing the rightward force opposing against the leftward force to be applied on the dancer roll 1 and the air pressure is set by regulating a reducing valve 9. A proximity sensor 11 for detecting the movement of the dancer roll 1 exceeding over predetermined level is provided to produce an output signal which controls the rotation of a reel drum drive motor thus to adjust the variation of tension of the paper 6.
