PURPOSE:To enable sure folding without being influenced by thickness change of covering metallic material by providing plural groups of folding rolls in the body allowing to be driven and preventing floating and running out of folding rolls that fold upper edge of a thin plate. CONSTITUTION:This folding machine folds the upper edge of a vertical thin plate and has plural groups of folding rolls 6-9 in the body 1 drivably. At least one of main folding roll 6a and auxiliary folding roll 6b out of a pair of folding rolls 6 of each group is made smaller in diameter as it goes downward. A sliding supporting plate 23 is provided a little below the rolls 6-9 to support the body 1. By this device, sure folding can be effected without being influenced by the change of plate thickness of covering metallic material. |
