PURPOSE:To laminate papers sequentially in the order of pages, by a method wherein the outputting order of character data is reversed and a bit pattern for each character is reversed, when printing on both sides of a paper. CONSTITUTION:Character codes for each page are sequentially outputted from a processing part to a page buffer 11 through a character code processor 10 so that a later page is printed on a firstly printed side of a sheet of printing paper 16 and then a former page is printed on a subsequently printed side of the paper 16. The character code processor 10 sends the character codes from the page buffer 11 to a mapping processor 12 in an order reverse to that in the case of single-side printing. The mapping processor 12 reads bit patterns from a font memory 13 on the basis of the character codes, and in the case of double-side printing, the bit patterns are stored in the condition of being rotated by 180 deg.. |
