PURPOSE:To prevent an exhaust gas component from penterating a lining material, by a method wherein, in a double tube steel chimney, of which the inner surface is applied with an inorganic series lining, a large number of holes are formed in an inner tube steel plate to blow in the sealing air between said double tubes. CONSTITUTION:In a double tube steel chimney, a large number of apertures A are formed in the whole peripheral surface of an inner steel plate 2, and an inorganic series lining material 1 is applied on the inside of the inner tube steel plate 2. A double tube consists of the inner tube steel plate 2 and an outer tube steel plate 3, an air blow-in pipe 6 is joined to the outer tube steel plate 3 at the lower chimney, and with a small blower 7 normally driven, the air is blown in a space 4 between the double tube plates. A part of the blown-in air passes an inorganic series lining layer through the apertures A in the inner tube steel plate of the double tube, and joins a corrosive exhaust gas G flowing in through a duct 5 to exhaust is through the top of the chimney. This prevents the corrosive exhaust gas from penetrating the steel plate through the lining surface in the chimney and permits the prevent on of the lining from deterioration. |
