PURPOSE:To prevent a defective from occurring owing to a displaced color boundary by heating and vacuum-forming a sheet as its color classification boundary portion is held and fixed by a push plate and a support plate. CONSTITUTION:First, a sheet 24 is held by a clamp 26, a support plate 42 is lifted to support the sheet 24 at its boundary portion B, a heating means is moved horizontally to heat and soften the sheet 24. Then, the heating means 28 is withdrawn, a push plate 52 is lowered to fix and hold the boundary portion B together with the support plate 42. Further, a vacuum-forming die 34 is lifted to withdraw the support plate 42 into the cavity 40 of the vacuum-forming die 34 and to take the boundary portion B into the cavity 40. The softened sheet 24 is vacuum-formed in this state and the vacuum-forming die 34 is lowered to take the completed vacuum-formed sheet 24 out of the die. |
