PURPOSE:To heighten safety for the careless use of a lost card, when the card is lost, by generating a specified signal from a signal generating device, and terminating the arithmetic function of the card. CONSTITUTION:A card 3 performs a data process between main body devices 11-1m through terminal equipments 211-21n, and 2m1-2mn. When the card 3 is lost, the specified signal corresponding to the identification key word of the card 3 is transmitted with a signal generating device 8. The specified signal is received by the reception circuit 5 of the card 3. A checking circuit 9 operates a termination circuit 6 only when a received specified signal corresponds to the identification key word of the card 3. Therefore, the circuit 6 is not operated by the specified signal corresponding to the identification key word of the other card. Since an arithmetic circuit 4 is set so as to terminate its arithmetic operation with the circuit 6, the data process is not performed even when the card is loaded on the terminal equipments 211-21n, and 2m1-2mn. |
