PURPOSE:To obtain a supporting roller belt device intervening between pipe or bar, withstanding high load, having flexing properties without damaging said pipe bars by allowing a freely bending long-size support member to hold several cylindrical members in a chain arrangement with their axial directions mutually in parallel. CONSTITUTION:A support rope 11 acting as a long-size support member consists of a pair of straight support members 11A and 11B on both sides and curved members 11C which endlessly connect these members together. Several support shafts 12 are connected to the both support members 11A and 11B through their both end connecting parts 13 respectively, and each cylindrical member 14 is rotatably supported by each support shaft 12. The curved members 11C are covered with guide pipes 15. Thereby each cylindrical member 14 can be freely flexed along the shape of the cargo of bundled billets 1 in a spacelessly arranged chain condition when using the device. Thus, the cylindrical members 14 are not subjected to compressive deformation under any high loading, while maintaining necessary spaces between the bundled billets 1 without inflicting any damage on the surface of the billets 1. |
