A demountable container for a liquid to be sprayed electrostatically can be mounted in a retainer in an apparatus for electrostatic spraying, consisting of a voltage supply 10, a high voltage generator 22, a spraying nozzle with a surface of which at least a part 17 is electrically conductive, an electrode 16 placed adjacent the nozzle and insulated from this with electrical connections 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, which can connect the voltage supply 10 to the input terminals on the generator, the electrode 16 to one output terminal 35 from the generator, and the nozzle to the other output terminal 34 from the generator. The container has an orifice 41, 52 through which the nozzle is supplied with spray fluid, and mounting means 3, 20 for placing the container on the apparatus in a position in which the orifice can supply spray fluid to the nozzle, and the mounting means comprise a conductor or conductors completing the electrical connections. The orifice 41, 52 is closed by a seal 42, 50, until the container has been placed on the retainer. <IMAGE>
