In order to provide shuttering for end faces of concrete steps, a sheet-metal shuttering which can be displaced in a telescoping manner and is clamped on the wall shuttering or string shuttering of the concrete step is provided. The shuttering element (Figure 1) comprises two C-profiled metal sheets (1, 2) which have in each case one clamping plate (5) at their extremities, which clamping plates are fastened to the hinges (7) on the profiled metal sheets (1) or (2) so as to be capable of rotation through up to 80 DEG . Two articulation means (6) are fitted on the two clamping plates (5), which means retain the connecting tubes (3, 4), and a rapid-clamping device (10) is mounted in the push-in region of said connecting tubes. Retaining pins (9) which fix the shuttering element in the adjusted position are placed on the outer surfaces of the clamping plates (5). <IMAGE>
