PURPOSE:To attain low loss and stable converting characteristic, by short-circuiting a discontinuous part of an H plane inner wall of a side of a converter with a strip conductor drawn out for eliminating a leaked electromagnetic wave from a gap. CONSTITUTION:An L-shaped groove 14 which penetrates into a dielectric base 3 and a rear conductor 5, one side of which is positioned on the H plane inner wall and the other side of which is located at the side of the conductor 4, is formed on both sides of the strip conductor 4 drawn out of the converter, a metallic plate 15 having a width equal to that of each side of the L-shaped groove 14 and metallic sides separated each other, is inserted to the L-shaped groove 14, folded on the surface of the base 3, and the front and rear sides of the microstrip line 6 are short-circuited. The H plane inner wall which has been hitherto separated up and down conventionally with the dielectric base 3 is formed into a continuous metallic plane by mounting the microstrip line 6 of the converter to terminal short-circuit square waveguides 1, 2, allowing to prevent the leakage of electromagnetic waves. As a result, the low loss and the stable converting characteristic are attained. |
