PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-sensitive recording material having preventiveness against chalking, good chromogenic property for pictures, as well as good light resistance and good storability by providing a heat-sensitive chromogenic layer containing a colorless chromogenic substance, benzyl p-hydroxybenzoate to cause the coloration of said colorless chromogenic substance when heated, and a specific phenol derivative. CONSTITUTION:A heat-sensitive chromogenic layer, containing a colorless or light-color chromogenic sustance [e.g., 3-(N-cyclohexyl-N-methylamino)-6-methyl- 7-anilinofluoran, etc.], benzyl p-hydroxybenzoate, 4,4'-butylidene-bis(3-methyl-6-t- butylphenol, etc., as a phenolic substance to cause the coloration of said chromogenic substance when heted, and a phenol derivative of the formula (R1 and R4 are each methyl, t-butyl, or cyclohexyl, R2 and R3 are each methyl or ethyl, and R5 and R6 are each H or a C1-C8 alkyl), is provided on a base material to obtain an objective heat-sensitive recording material. |
