PURPOSE:To always carry out optimum ignition even if the rotational speed of an engine is abruptly changed, by using, in addition to a signal synchronized with the rotation of the engine, a signal having a frequency which is integer times of that of the synchronized signal, for ignition control, so that the originally obtained ignition timing is compensated with the rotational speed of the engine just before the ignition. CONSTITUTION:A first reference signal S1 synchronized with the rotation of an internal-combustion engine and generated from a signal generator 3 which receives an output signal from a pick-up device 2 for detecting the rotational condition of the engine, and a second reference signal S2 having a frequency which is integer times of that of the first reference signal S1 and is generated from a signal generator 4, are delivered to a data processing unit 1 which also receives output signals from sensors 5 such as, for example, those for detecting suction vacuum pressure and intake-air temperature after the output signals are subjected to A/D conversion 6. Further, in this processing unit 1, an ignition signal which is obtained from the first reference signal S1 and the outputs of the sensors is compensated with the rotational speed of the engine which is obtained from at least one signal interval in the second reference signal S2. |
