PURPOSE:To elevate the accuracy in the indication of a liquid concentration with a simple construction by a method wherein a non-linear analog output characteristic of an optical type probe is digitized and converted into a linear characteristic to be displayed with an operation. CONSTITUTION:Output of an optical type probe P comprising a light emitting element 4 such as LED and a light receiving element 5 such as an optical fiber 2 and a photodiode PD is inputted into an arithmetic processing section 9 via an amplifier 6 and an A/D converter 8. The arithmetic processing section 9 reads a correction coefficient memorized in a memory 10 and converts a non-linear characteristic between the specific gravity of an electrolytic liquid 3 in a battery vessel 1 and an output of the light receiving element 5 into a linear characteristic, which is indicated on a display 13 such as liquid crystal display LCD through a driver 12. This improves the accuracy in the indication of the specific gravity and concentration of the liquid with a simple construction. |
