PURPOSE:To enable to cool a brake device while retaining a sealing property for a brake chamber, by a method wherein a means for generating a cooling air flow for cooling a side wall part of a hub is provided at an outside surface of a brake chamber at the side wall part. CONSTITUTION:An annular chamber 10 is provided adjacently to the brake chamber 8 of the hub 4. The chamber 10 has the side wall part 4b in common with the brake chamber 8, and is formed by extending a cylindrical part 4c. A side face of the chamber 10 faced to the side wall part 4b is opened, and a plurality of small chambers 10a are defined by fins 11 extending radially from a boss part 6. An outside peripheral wall of each of the small chambers 10a is provided with a through-hole 12 as an outlet for air. The through-holes 12 are opened at positions deviated to the side of the brake chamber 8. During running, when the hub 4 is rotated, cooling air flows in the direction of an arrow (f) to cool the side wall part 4b, and the brake device 7 in the brake chamber 8 is cooled indirectly. |
