PURPOSE:To speed up and miniaturize a logical function circuit having many inputs, by obtaining multi-input logical sum instantly by a light, and combining optical logical sum and optical negation for obtaining functions such as AND other than OR. CONSTITUTION:An input signal from input lines 11, 21-14, 24 is converted into an optical signal of on/off at electrooptic conversion elements 211-214 and the logical sum is obtained by an optical OR 22 of one output of multi-input. Further, the result is converted into an electric signal at an electrooptic conversion element 26, negation is obtained by an NOT gate 27 and the result of discrimination is obtained and outputted to an output line 6. |
