摘要 |
PURPOSE:To reduce an output loss and improve knocking control during a transition period by a method wherein the valve opening angles for all the cylinders are advanced when knocking occurs and then the number of times of ignition until they are delayed is independently controlled. CONSTITUTION:An igniter 4 for multi-cylinder type internal-combustion engine is controlled by an ignition timing instruction signal which is obtained by a method wherein a fundamental ignition timing calculated by the outputs from an air flow meter 24 and a crank angle sensor 18 in a control circuit 20 is corrected in response to whether the knocking is sensed by the knocking sensor 12 or not. In this case, the control circuit 20 corrects the ignition timing toward spark delay for all the cylinders when the knocking occurs and at the same time the ignition timing is corrected toward spark advanced for each of the cylinders when the knocking is not found. A spark plug for each of the cylinders is controlled in response to said fundamental ignition timing and an ignition timing equivalent to the sum of said delayed spark correction value and the advanced spark correction value. |
