PURPOSE:To enable a smooth printing operation eliminating intermittent action of a motor by performing the timing adjustment with a receive buffer to ensure the continuation of a flying print operation period as long as possible. CONSTITUTION:A receive buffer 8 is provided for temporary storage of input data to be printed in a serial printer and provided with a means of detecting that data is inputted in the sufficient amount to free the printer from intermittent actions when data is inputted at a speed lower than the printing speed of the printer. A control means 12 is provided to start the printing operation with an output from the detection means. |
