PURPOSE:To make a shifting position sensor unnecessary, by enabling to search a present shifting position through a number of revolutions of an engine and data of a vehicle speed in a titled optimum shifting position indicator. CONSTITUTION:An engine load and an optimum shifting position are caluclated, while a present shifting position at the time of running and the optimum shifting position are compared with each other so as to shift to the optimum shifting position, by providing a car speed detecting sensor 18 for a motor car and an air flow meter 5 detecting a suction air quantity of an engine and applying signals from a number of revolutions sensor 18 and the air flow meter 5, in an optimum shifting positon detector of the motor car with manual speed change gears which is provided with an electronic fuel injecton system. An operation processing circuit 11 generating an instruction signal is provided also. Then an exclusive sensor and a controller having a small data quantity are obtained. |
