PURPOSE:To enable to perform heating with low electric power at the start of an engine or when cooling water temperature goes down below the temperature capable for heating by a method wherein a heating means is provided in a piping, through which engine cooling water flows from a heat storage water tank to a heat exchanger during heating. CONSTITUTION:Under the condition that the cooling water temperature in an engine 1 does not attain a predetermined temperature capable of heating at the start of the engine 1, an engine cooling water temperature detecting switch 13 is closed and the signal from a control unit 17 causes solenoid valves 5 and 6 to open and a valve 4 to close and a pump 8 to put into operation. In this case, when the water temperature in a heat storage water tank 3 exceeds a set value, the signal from a switch 12 puts a heating element 11a in deenergized state. The cooling water in the tank 3 is flowed through the valves 5 and 6 into a heat exchanger 2 and then returned through a piping 74 to the water tank 3. The circulation through the above-mentioned passage B allows to supply hot air. On the other hand, when the water temperature in the water tank 3 goes down below a predetermined value, the heating element 11a is energized with the signal generated by the closing of the switch 12 in order to heat the cooling water and the heated cooling water is flowed into the water tank 3 in order to perform the heating. |
