PURPOSE:To enable to properly suppress the rolling of a car body during the running of an automobile at all times in response to various conditions such as the total weight, running speed, lateral acceleration at turning and the like by controlling the length of stabilizer arms. CONSTITUTION:When the truck is loaded heavily or turned with a large curvature, only a discharge side solenoid valve 34 is released by an electric signal from a controller 37 and consequently the compressed airs in cylinder chambers 46 and 47 are discharged to the open air, resulting in contracting fixed stabilizer arms 16 and 17 into arm parts 12 and 13 by means of return springs 35 and 36 so as to shift a movable stabilizer bar 11 to a rear axle 42 side in elongated holes 22 and 23 in order to shorten the length of arms 18 and 19. Consequently, because the twisting angle of the bar 11 after the length of the arms 18 and 19 are shortened in respect to a certain displacement of the axle 42 side becomes larger than that of the bar 11 before the length of the arms 18 and 19 are shortened, a larger rolling rigidity is realized, resulting in reducing the rolling of the truck body and consequently improving the running stability. |
