The objective of the present invention, called "clamp protector" and of simple design, is to prevent injuries to people working on a building site who are liable, at any moment, to walk into the rods of protruding clamps which are often placed in main passages. The component, in the shape of a stopper with a flat head, made of flexible plastic or the like, is easily and rapidly installed; it fits on the rod of the clamp and remains locked on the latter by virtue of the trapezoidal forms 1 and 2 acting as a vice. <IMAGE>
