<p>PURPOSE:Polyester is subjected to super high-speed melt spinning using a pack consisting of the sand layers of stainless steel particles of fine particle sizes and a specific filter to achieve stable production of polyester of uniform quality without yarn breakage. CONSTITUTION:The polymer which is melted in the back housing 2 is passed through the pack 1 consisting of sand layers 7a-7d of stainless steel powders of 50/100 or higher mesh, preferably 80/20 mesh particle sizes and of the filter 8 of stainless steel fiber nonwoven fabric with an absolute filtration diameter of less than 20 microns, preferably 15 microns and extruded. The resultant fibers are solidified by cooling in the chimney 3, treated with the finishing oil by the applicator 4, taken up with the godet rollers 5 running at a speed over 5,000m/ min, then wound up by the winder 6.</p> |
